Ministry Academy is designed for flexible, practical, ministry-focused training rather than a traditional degree path. Our programs are online, self-paced, more affordable, and built to help students grow in biblical understanding, discipleship, leadership, and ministry effectiveness. If you need a regionally or government-accredited degree for your goals, a traditional institution may be the better fit. If you want accessible, ministry-centered training you can apply right away, the Academy may be a strong fit.

No. Ministry Academy is not a degree-granting college. We provide structured, affordable ministry training, certificates, and certifications designed to help believers grow in knowledge, character, and practical ministry effectiveness. The Academy operates under Empowered365 Network and is owned by MPowered Christian Ministries Inc.

At this time, Ministry Academy is not accredited. Our focus is on accessible, biblically grounded ministry training rather than a traditional degree model. If your goals require an accredited degree for transferability, licensure, or employment, you should pursue a school with the type of accreditation you need.

Our aim isn't to replace university for career professionals, but to train and equip ordinary believers for ministry leadership through distance learning. Our programs are created from the highest curriculum standards within the framework of Spirit-empowered, biblical authority enabling our learners to be challenged with spiritual passion and personal fulfillment.

If your goal is practical ministry training for discipleship, leadership, and service, our Academy may be a strong fit.

We do not have a standard course semester duration, course size, or class schedule. Some of our courses are under 10 hours of training; some as high as 200 hours of training. The average course is 20-30 hours. The total CEU's awarded for each course are based on the amount of time estimated to complete the course. For example, a 2 CEU course is estimated to be about 20 hours of learning time. All of our courses are designed for complete flexibility. All the content is available 24/7, you have unlimited access to your courses anytime, anywhere, and can do all lessons at your own pace. You may complete them as quickly or as slowly as you would like to. With our online format, we're open year-round, allowing you to continue your studies through the summer and holidays without interruption. Additionally, the videos in our courses are downloadable to your mobile device, allowing you to even watch lectures without a good internet connection.

Our courses are exclusively online, accessible through our virtual campus. Each course features a mix of videos, reading, and multiple-choice quizzes. Our videos also include audio-mode for those who would prefer to listen rather than watch, and transcripts and captions for those who would prefer to read.

Some courses also include hands-on activities such as journaling, prayer, Bible reading, or missional activities.

Our approach to testing is via multiple multiple-choice quizzes throughout each course, with an open-book approach and a passing score of 60% or higher. If a student fails they can retake the test. Our quizzes aim to test a student's overall understanding of what's most important about the subject matter, rather than their memory about something in the course. 

Most core Academy courses do not require essays or heavy academic writing. Our goal is to prepare students for real ministry application, not academic performance alone. Some optional premium courses may include writing assignments or coaching components, but these are not required for core Academy certificates.

Yes, any book that is needed to complete the course is also included in the course. Most of the books have also been converted into video and/or audio, giving you the option to watch or listen instead of reading. There are no additional costs needed to complete any of our courses and earn certificates.

If you would like a paperback, Kindle, or audiobook version of the book we use in a course, and one is available, there will be a link to where you can purchase it inside the course. This is entirely optional though and provided only for your convenience. 

We also provide this so that you can lead small groups and book studies (where your participants can get a cheaper copy) but you can simply use your online course version.

Our certifications are intentionally stackable. Each advanced certification includes the earlier required training so students build on a strong foundation rather than skipping ahead. This means higher-level certifications include previous certificate content and capstones, while adding the new courses required for that specialization.

Renewal helps churches, ministries, employers, and partners know that credential holders are still active, growing, and living in alignment with the commitments behind the certification. Every two years, certified students renew by:

1. reaffirming their faith and lifestyle commitment,
2. submitting a ministry or character endorsement,
3. completing at least 2 CEU in Ministry Academy courses, and
4. paying a small administrative renewal fee.

Absolutely! All courses are available only online, allowing you to study at your own pace and convenience from anywhere in the world.

Support / Help Desk – offers general support and assistance to members and students through email tickets.

Student Discussion – every course lesson has an area to ask questions or share thoughts and discuss with other students.

Instructor Assistance – inside every course lesson you can ask a question about the course or lesson's content to the instructor for course- or lesson-specific assistance or advice.

EmpoweredSOCIAL Forum – A place to connect with instructors, other students, and network members, all also somewhere in their ministry and education journey. 

Regular Coaching Calls – virtual live Q&A for members and students to ask questions about their studies or life (these are published in our EmpoweredSOCIAL Forum).

These options are available for an additional fee:

Collab Group Coaching – monthly virtual small group meeting with current ministry leaders (or students/leaders in training) and an Empowered365 Coach

One-on-One Counseling/Coaching – available worldwide via virtual meeting, on a per-hour basis, for a fee, to discuss any aspect of your Christian life. Book online anytime, as-needed.

Yes, our Ministry Academy features courses developed by experienced pastors and instructors who are knowledgeable in their respective fields. Many of our instructors hold degrees and have extensive ministry experience. You can learn the credentials of the instructor on the public page of every online course. If the course was created by Empowered365 or its parent company, MPowered Christian Ministries Inc, you can learn about their credentials on our About Us page.

Yes, our training can be a valuable resource for those seeking ordination or ministry credentials. It is recommended to check with your local church or governing body for specific guidelines, depending on the path that you wish to pursue. All of our certifications and certificates will also automatically be accepted by Transformation Church International, our partnering organization.
