Hi, I'm Pastor Brian. I was raised Christian (well, Roman Catholic) by loving parents and even went to a Catholic school for 9 years. I wasn't a bad kid and I believed in God but I didn't have a relationship with Him. I looked for love and significance in all the wrong places and this ultimately led me deep into bad friendships, sin and crime for years. I still thought I was a Christian like my role model (gangster rapper 2pac). It was such a lie - I was SO far from God. After being betrayed by close friends, arrested, jumped and robbed at age 17, I realized the "good life" promised in the hip hop gang culture lifestyle was a lie. When fundamental human needs are not being met in a healthy way, we settle for an unhealthy way. Perhaps there's evidence of you doing this as well?

I did wake up to the error of my ways and got away from those friends, gangs, drugs, repaired the relationship with my parents, and studied hard to get the best grades ever to graduate high school. I had a job and nice car I liked, and a girlfriend I loved. On paper, life was pretty good. I should’ve been happy. But no matter what I tried it still felt like I was missing something. Often people stop there. They fill the void however they know how, drowning it with alcohol or simple pleasure, whatever they can to ignore that inner emptiness.

Then everything changed late one night. I was driving around late for hours, listening to emotional music, crying, searching for meaning to life. Feeling utterly hopeless I pulled over, it just so happened to be a church parking lot. I sat in my car and cried out to the universe for an explanation to the overwhelming discontentment I felt. Then I had an encounter with Jesus! He told me I had lost my first love: Him. I confessed my need for Him and He supernaturally restored my soul and gave me peace.

THIS is the point where Christians often stop. I was broken and I knew I needed Jesus. But that wasn't the end of the journey, but the beginning of a NEW one!

Unfortunately, after giving my life to Jesus I lacked people in my life to support and disciple me. I lacked the wisdom to make THAT my FIRST priority, join a church, read the Bible, stop sinning, put Jesus FIRST and GROW in Him. My encounter with Jesus began a relationship with Him but I never became a disciple. I certainly didn't KNOW God in spirit and truth, nor did my life bring Him glory. Sure, I wasn't a criminal anymore, I was LESS of a sinner, and my life did improve, but I definitely had compromised morals, sinful ambitions, and misguided life goals. I lived as a "lukewarm" sinful believer 13 years keeping Him on the back burner. I invested my time trying to pursue success and fulfillment through worldly pursuits, romantic relationships, education, business ventures, and self-improvement.

I learned this lesson: Even "good" things can be idols that keep us in bondage and steal us away from our higher calling! Satan knew this. He made sure I wasted a lot of time and potential focusing on all the wrong things. I'm so thick-headed. This was already my testimony! I should've ALREADY KNOWN that true, lasting fulfillment must be found in my relationship with God and by living according to His plan and purpose for my life. After reaching worldly success but failing to be truly fulfilled, God opened my eyes and gave me wisdom at age 30. I rededicated my life to Him determined to never backtrack again. Grateful for His faithfulness and grace towards me, and now ignited and fueled by eternal purpose, I've been running the race strong ever since.

I've dedicated the last 12 years and tens of thousands of hours studying and growing in the specifics of how to embrace and apply these truths, personally counseling and coaching hundreds, and teaching publicly millions to help them benefit from what I had to learn the hard way, so they can achieve success quicker. A face-to-face one-hour virtual coaching session once per month to get help implementing what you've learned as well as to discuss how things are going and answer any other questions you have. And then you can hop onto our weekly live Q&A (recorded) and get help and guidance there.

    If you have a quick question or need clarification about something taught in the middle of any lesson you can ask in the discussion area connected to each lesson. Additionally, for general help there is 24/7 email support.
